Red Sox players attends their ‘movie’ premier night

The official World Series 2013 DVD by Major League Baseball Productions goes on sale later on Tuesday - less than thirty days after Red Sox enjoyed a championship after defeating St. Louis Cardinals at the Fenway Park in Game Six. On Monday evening, Red Sox arranged a premiere for the movie at Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre.

Those who came to the red carper premier were Red Sox principal owner John Henry, team president Larry Lucchino, chairman Tom Werner, third baseman Will Middlebrooks and catcher David Ross and GM Ben Cherington.

The movie goes far beyond revealing different views of game footage. People would get an inside look at all the sounds and sights of Red Sox ride to championship – like player interaction in the clubhouse and the dugout.

Meanwhile, Chicago White Sox have stated that addition of 6 players who would appear at the 2014 SoxFest. Theh list includes Marcus Semien, Erik Johnson, Alexi Ramirez, Matt Lindstrom, Jose Abreu and Nate Jones. Now they would join the likes of Hector Santiago, Addison Reed, Josh Phegley, Avisail Garcia and Adam Dunn. Former White Sox stars like Tom Paciorek, Gary Peters, Minnie Minoso and Carlos May would also attend the event.

SoxFest will start from 24th January and will go on till 26th January, next year at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. The event would be sponsored by WGN-TV, Pepsi, Miller Lite and Comcast SportsNet.
